The Invitation. . . To Retreat |
|||||||||
|
You are invited to retreat here . . . to live for a time among the inhabitants of Narrow Ridge. Perhaps to experience, in your own way, theologian Martin Buber's narrow ridge, "the place where I and Thou meet." You are also invited to come with your own retreat agenda and be aided or not by interaction with the Narrow Ridge community. An invitation always stands open to join morning meditation or to participate in the daily work of creating appropriate dwellings, renewing the land and learning sustainable ways of inhabiting this ridge and valley home. The self-contained solar dwellings for retreats are basic but comfortable and adequately furnished. Besides one's own linens (sheets, blankets and towels), guests need only bring personal items and clothing suitable for the season and for their chosen activities. Cooking facilities are fully equipped.
